Pat McGrath - "The" Celebrity Makeup Artist

Pat McGrath is the makeup artist to the most fabulous fashion shows, being a talisman of most photographers and models. The british makeup artist is Sarah Jessica Parker's and Madonna's favourite one and also the most famous makeup artist in the world, being her influence felt from New York to Paris.
We could not agree more and that is why we've decided to dedicate a post to this amazing artist. She is definitely our favourite.

These days, Pat McGrath brings her global genius and couture-seasoned eye to the new MAX Factor, as the U.S. Colour Cosmetics Creative Design Director for Procter & Gamble, being the beauty expert and creative force behind the New MAX Factor line.

Pat has created avant-garde makeup looks for the most influential collections and couture shows. Each season she creates new trendsetting looks.

"I don't think I'm the best makeup artist in the world... but I'm glad if others thing so. Although, to me its all about team work" - Pat McGrath

Love the Dior makeup she did. It's very old Hollywood dramatic without seeming too overdone or heavy. Makes me want to put on some matte red lipstick just thinking about it!

Thx for the tip on your "Bitten" post.

Qué padre, al igual que el diseño de ropa, gráfico e industrial las maquillistas son personas que trabajan con muchas emociones.
Y los resultados lo reflejan.

Great post! Very informative!

Love her work and think Max Factor is a very under-appreciated makeup line nowadays. They have fabulous makeup bases (my favorite are the tube bases, especially for stage and film makeup) and their lipsticks are nice and creamy and don't chap your lips. Also, for mascara you can't beat Max Factor for money/quality ratio. Great post!

you know what I like about her, every time I see her doing an interview: fashion file, etc... she always seems so humble, low key, and like a genuinely nice person.

I also like that she wears NO makeup and does those amazing galliano runways.

I love Pat. She is so talented. I love the painted faces she would do at Dior although it got old after a while.

Is it me or did you have to look twice at that pic of Naoimi, I really though that was Tyra.

Pat McGrath is a genius and a makeup artiste {not artist). She is the most amazing woman to work with.Exceptionally talented she has designed many famous makeup lines for Giorgio Armani,Aveda,Max Factor,CoverGirl and Iman cosmetics.....
Her avante garde looks right from the girl-next-door charm to the most frightening ghosts to the absolutely modern even-japanese-could-not-make geisha makeups and the way she plays with model's brows and eyelashes is just amazing...
She's just fantastic
